TRANSCRIPT:
To sexually objectify somebody is to primarily regard them as an object of sexual desire. To view them as a tool for sexual pleasure and not as a human being with thoughts, feelings, emotions, and rights. And in this week’s episode of “A 9MIR Moment,” we’re going to consider how webcam sex chatting websites and studios are encouraging and fueling the dangerous sexual objectification of the women they’ve ensnared.
Now, if you’re expecting some drawn out explanation with source info and citations, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. Such an explanation isn’t actually needed here. Instead, we’ll just let the webcam sex chatting sites, and the studios that support them, bury themselves with their own words.
Before we get to that, here’s a little disclaimer. The photos you are about to see contain language that may be offensive to or inappropriate for certain viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.
Any of you watching who’ve following this project for some time know that this week’s episode of “A 9MIR Moment” is painfully redundant. After all, we don’t have to prove anything in terms of the sexual objectification claim, because the very nature of webcam sex chatting proves it. Women are being deceived and manipulated, and their sexuality is being sold for the sexual gratification of others.
That said, take a look at this screen shot, taken from near the bottom of a popular webcam sex chatting website, ImLive- one of Romania’s biggest problems with regards to sexual exploitation. This text appears on the public-facing member side of the website, on its front page, and it clearly demonstrates what the abhorrent dogs that operate these websites and studios truly feel about the women they are ensnaring.
If you ever actually spoke to someone working for a webcam sex chatting site or studio, they would tell you that what they’re doing is providing these girls and women with an opportunity. Really? Being sexually exploited and objectified is an opportunity? As my mother would advise, don’t let ‘em dumb you down.
